NC Watson One Room Schoolhouse Report
by Vicki Walker
Summer has flown by at the one room school house. Lilly Gaudiano has had a very successful first year garden. It has been a learning experience and she already has plans for next year’s garden. This picture (right) was early in the season. The beds are now full to over-flowing. Lilly intends to donate the harvest to the Buxton Food Cupboard located at the top of the picture. We are in the early stages of having the school house painted! Sam Kovacs from Boy Scout Troop 349, Buxton will be submitting a plan for his Eagle Scout Service Project to paint the building. It is a very exciting project. We still have September and October for our open hours, the 2nd and 4th Saturdays from 1-4. We also hope to be open during the Bean Suppers at the Buxton Center Church, our wonderful neighbors. If you see the open sign flying, please stop by. Also, we are available to be open for any special occasion you may have. Please contact Vicki Walker at 207-929-3662. Happy Fall!
